I suspect from much experience, and researchers also agree, that there might not be a single cause for the syndrome called autism. What we know already are a lot of the symptoms of the condition, and a lot about where the patient might end up. What we do not know though, is how it comes about, and if we can put an end to it for good. Thankfully, Americans are fighters; we will find that cure someday.
The internet is perhaps the best place you can go to get whatever information you need about anything. Autism is certainly no exception to this rule, because with a single search engine, you can get countless links that will take you to websites with all that you need to know about the condition. And if what you need is a physician to help out with your child, you can find one online.
Autistic kids are often absorbed with specific objects or subjects, and never seem to be able to tear themselves away from it. If you tried to pry them off, you could get some of the most explosive reactions you could have imagined, and if you left them alone, you’d… well, you’d meet them there, alone, hours later. Funny thing about the socially challenged kids.
Hyperserotonemia, excess serotonin in the blood, is one possible cause for autism. Many of the patients who suffer from the syndrome tend to have it in their system. However, it cannot be the only cause for the condition because even the parents of the siblings of the child have it also, and they are not usually imbued with autism. As such, it is believed to be a combination of conditions and circumstances that brings it about, and not a single one, hence the current direction of researches on the subject.
